The woodbox combines function and form in a way that is practical and stylish! No more rushing off to your wood shed or garage to get another arm load or bucket load of firewood and return to the fire, missing out on conversation, making you get out of your chair and generally disturbing your evening! Plenty of wood for 5-7 good long evenings of smokeless fire right at hand so you hardly need to even get out of your chair to throw another log on the fire! You’ll spend the whole time with those you’ve chosen to have around the fire with you, and have a place to sit your drink while preparing delicious cuts of meat on the stainless steel work surface.
The Corten steel will be supplied pre-weathered in any external areas so you don’t have to wait 6 months or more while it goes from black steel to natural patina colour. Each burn will darken the patina. If it hasn’t burnt in a while it will start to develop a lighter patina which darkens when burnt again.
This material on the fire pits or other heat affected areas will darken dependent on the amount of heat. The rims of the fire pits will likely blacken due to soot from the fire on start-up and will otherwise be a dark shade of bronze – as will be the outer layer of the fire pit. Areas such as the base of the fire pit, the Ember-Shields, Lids, and the prepsurface of the Wood Box will remain bright and not discolour unless they are exposed to unnatural chemicals.
