Comes pre-seasoned with protective layer of sunflower oil to protect from the weather and during shipping. This will need to be kept seasoned by leaving cooking grease on it and/or seasoning after each use with a cooking grade oil, as it cools, once the fire has died. This will also need to be stored dry and not unnecessarily heated up (use only when intending to cook)
